The pace of job creation picked up slightly in May as U.S. employers added 223,000 workers to their payrolls during the month, following a revised gain of 159,000 in April and 155,000 in March. The U.S. economy has generated more than a million jobs through the first five months of 2018, a solid rate of more than 200,000 jobs per month.
